Imaging with CCDciel

CCDciel is a free, open-source CCD/CMOS capture application with native ASCOM Alpaca support. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, so you can use the same imaging app on every platform AlpacaBridge supports.

Setup

1. Install CCDciel

   Download and install CCDciel for your platform.

2. Power on your device

   Make sure your AlpacaBridge device is powered on and on the same network.

3. Choose Alpaca devices

   Open Edit → Device setup, set the interface to ASCOM Alpaca, and use the discovery button to find your AlpacaBridge devices on the network.

4. Connect your gear

   Select your camera, mount, focuser, and filter wheel, then connect from the main window.
